Elizabeth and Michael :: Chicago Engagement Session

I love these photos. Looking at them you'd have no idea the amount of wind present this day. It was actually kinda funny at times. What almost cost me my lighting equipment was totally worth it if just to get the shot on the terrace of Michael's condo. Elizabeth and Michael are a whole lot of positivity so patience came easy and we got in a wonderful shoot wrapping up with a gorgeous sunset.

Elizabeth and Michael belong to a group of friend's (you know who you are :)) who I've had the pleasure of working with in the past. I look forward to being a part of their special day and seeing familiar faces.

Harini and Yesh :: Engagement Session at Cantigny Park, Wheaton, Illinois

I am counting down the days to Harini and Yesh's 3-day South Indian wedding next month. Recently, I had the opportunity to shoot with them on the grounds of Cantigny in the Western suburbs. My intention, as with all portrait/engagement sessions, is simply to have fun and let people be themselves with limited direction from myself. I laughed and smiled from behind the camera throughout this session.

Kristen and Ryan :: Chicago Engagement Session

This Southwestern couple brought all the warmth on a recent chilly Sunday afternoon. While they got their start in Arizona, Kristen and Ryan now make their home in Chicago. They wanted the engagement photos to reflect their close connection with the city. What better place to start the session then on the bridge in Lincoln Park where Ryan proposed! We got in a fantastic shoot hitting up several locations and even with a quick stop inside to warm up, tried some more ideas. Kristen and Ryan were troopers! During the last several images when it was at it's coldest, Kristen and Ryan still worked it. So glad to have the opportunity to get to know and shoot with this fun couple.

Connie and Sayam :: Chicago Engagement Session

October was not only my busiest month for weddings but also for engagement sessions. It's really enjoyable spending an afternoon shooting and getting to know my new couples. Connie and Sayam's original shoot date had to be rescheduled due to weather. We were all really pumped that the weather cooperated for the next date. I just love Connie and Sayam's endless smiles and playfulness and they know exactly what to do to make the other laugh. Looking forward to their downtown wedding in 2012!
